Breaking Through the Wall of Words

This was inspired by the constant propaganda that we get from the media. The figure is breaking through the wall of words, trying to find the truth behind them.

It is made from bronze printer's letters.

I have exhibited and sold three other versions of this piece in RHS Wisley, Hilliers Arboretum and Denbies vineyard in Dorking.

The Thinker

This was based on Rodin's 'Thinker'. I wanted to make my version more menacing and grotesque. I distorted the shoulders to become overhanging and wing-like.

Rhythm

This idea came to me whilst studying clouds, and the way that air controlled their movement. This is made from chemically patinated stainless steel and resin bronze.

Leap Into the Future

This bronze sculpture began with the premise that we all take leaps forward in our lives, as we speed towards our futures (which we often have little control of!) I tried to capture some of the energy of time-lapse photography, which has the essence of movement.

Chasing Your Tail

The idea for this limestone piece came to me at London Zoo. I had been studying Hindu sculptures and feeling a little philosophical. Basically it seemed to me that we are all chasing our own tails!
